Junior Extension Training

CUA30120 Certificate III in Dance

Vision

To develop, educate and prepare dedicated and talented ballet students for the next step towards a professional dance career should they choose to pursue such.


Scope

A formal extension of The Academy of Classical Ballet's standard curriculum for students identified to have outstanding potential. External students are welcome to participate in the Junior Extension Training & Intensive Training Program subject to successful audition and only with written approval from the Director of their current dance school. 


Prerequisites

Formal ballet training at RAD Grade 4 (or equivalent) for JET and RAD Intermediate Foundation (or equivalent) for ITP and/or sound technical classical dance and musicality capabilities. Students must possess an ability and facility for classical ballet and demonstrate dedication to the pursuit of excellence combined with a desire to realise their full potential. Students must show a commitment to the Junior Extension Training and/or Intensive Training Program. Applications are welcome from any student.


JET Program Structure

Specialised Classical Technique, Musicality and Artistry, Pre-Pointe and Conditioning. Private coaching opportunities with guest artists and audition opportunities. Program includes registration to Grampians Region Master Classes Sunday Series and 50% discount to Grampians Region Summer School in year of JET program. Private Coaching for Classical Performance Solo additional.


JET Schedule & Fees

1 hour Friday afternoons 4pm – 5pm (TBC 2023). Four Terms - as per Victorian School Terms.

$230.00 per term (includes all GRMC Sunday Series & 50% Discount GRMC Summer School).

Minimum 10x Private Coaching Sessions for Classical Solo - $500.00 (invoiced in advance)

All fees subject to 10% GST.


Uniform

Female: Pale Pink Academy Leotard with matching Hair Bow - All ordered through The Academy.

Theatrical Pink Convertible Ballet Tights and Demi-Pointe Shoes.

Male: White Leotard with Energetiks CT05T Silver Tights or Bloch Footless Grey Marle Tights. White Socks. White Canvas ballet shoes.


ITP Program Structure

In preparation for a professional dance career: Classes - Classical Technique, Musicality & Artistry, Pointe, Repertoire, Contemporary, 

Body Conditioning and Theoretical Lectures. Private coaching opportunities, guest artists and audition opportunities. Program includes registration to the Grampians Region Master Classes Sunday Series and Summer School in year of enrolment as well as VET Qualification CUA30120 Certificate III in Dance (VET Course is over two years. Students must be 15yrs by completion of Certificate III. There is a registration fee of $1090 for nationally recognised qualification). 

Classes are taught in accordance with the Dance Industry Code of Ethics.


ITP Schedule & Fees

Audition Fee is $50 (current students exempt). 

3.5 contact hours – 5pm-8.30pm Fridays, as per four Victorian School Terms. 

Fees include GRMC Sunday Series & Summer School Registration

Annual Fee $2600

Fees invoiced annually – divided into 4 term instalments (of $650).

There is a registration fee of $1090 for nationally recognised qualification.

All Fees paid in advance & subject to GST.

Female: White Academy Leotard, Half Tutu & Hair Bow (ordered through The Academy). Energetiks White Chiffon Wrap Skirt.

Theatrical Pink Convertible Ballet Tights, Pink Canvas Performance Profile MDM ballet shoes with elastics, Demi-Pointe & Pointe Shoes.

Male: Bloch U3472M Matt Unitard (Grey Marle) or White Leotard with Energetiks CT05T Silver Tights or Bloch Footless Grey Marle Tights. White Socks. White Canvas MDM ballet shoes.


The Academy of Classical Ballet Scholarship

Applicants may be eligible to receive funding, partial to full, to participate in The Academy’s Intensive Training Program via Scholarship.

Scholarship opportunities are by audition only. 


VET @ The Academy - Your Qualification - Your Future

The Academy of Classical Ballet offers the opportunity for students to enrol in the nationally accredited CUA30120 Certificate III in Dance course which provides a qualification to enhance and compliment their dance training and equips students to progress into the creative arts industry

The Academy of Classical Ballet is partnered with EMPOWERDANCE PTY LTD (RTO CODE 40397) to deliver CUA30120 Certificate III in Dance courses. The Academy of Classical Ballet will deliver EMPOWERDANCE PTY LTD material and EMPOWERDANCE PTY LTD will assess all work and deliver the Certificate to the student. The Certificate Course is delivered by The Academy of Classical Ballet on behalf of EMPOWERDANCE PTY LTD. Students must be either enrolled in The Academy of Classical Ballet’s Intensive Training Program or attend a minimum of 4 hours of dance classes per week at The Academy of Classical Ballet to be offered the opportunity to enrol in Certificate III in Dance. 


EMPOWERDANCE PTY LTD (RTO 40397) is a Registered Training Organisation committed to the provision of quality accredited training. EMPOWERDANCE PTY LTD policy dictates a strict adherence to relevant state and federal legislation relating to safety, industrial relations and access and equity.
