Maya Forrester

Maya commenced her dance training at the The Academy of Classical Ballet at the age of 4 and has trained in Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Acro and Classical Ballet RAD syllabi.


Maya completed 2 years of The Academy’s Intensive Training Program and performed the leading role of 'Pigtails' in The Academy’s 2021 Performance of Graduation Ball.

 

Maya has presented for annual Royal Academy of Dance Examinations from Grade One level, receiving distinction for many, and successfully attained the RAD Intermediate Vocational Examination and the Grade 8 Solo Performance Award.


Maya has been dancing solo performances since age 6 at various dance eisteddfods both locally and regionally including Royal South Street in various genres of dance. She has also been part of The Academy’s troupes including being a cast member of performances at the RAD Showcase and Victorian Dance Festival Ignite Showcase.


In 2023 Maya completed 6 months of dance training with Transit Dance School in Melbourne in their Performing Arts Program.


Maya is looking forward to passing on her passion and love of dance to the next generation of Academy students.

Charlotte Hamilton, Teacher, The Academy of Classical Ballet, Ballarat
Charlotte has many years of performance experience including competing at eisteddfods across Victoria and performing and choreographing for various community events, performing in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular and Dance for Cancer Initiative. In 2018 Charlotte travelled to America and performed in a dance troupe at Universal Studios, Hollywood Boulevard and Disneyland. Charlotte’s show credits include: The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Rock of Ages, Victoria the White Cat in Cats (Music Theatre Guild of Victoria Awards 2017 Nominee for ‘The Dancer’s Award’, Jesus Christ Superstar & Jekyll and Hyde.
