Ruby Sparkman

Ruby commenced her journey in dance at the age of 8 in Ballarat. She enrolled at The Academy of Classical Ballet under the direction of Kellie Fishwick-Roscoe in 2015 and trains in jazz, contemporary, lyrical and classical ballet.
Ruby has presented for Cecchetti exams as well as Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations from Grade 3 to Grade 5 and the RAD Vocational Graded Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Foundation achieving Distiction for all. Ruby successfully auditioned and participated in The Academy's Junior Extension Training program and following this the Intensive Training Program during which tine she performed at events such as the Royal Academy of Dance Gala and Victorian Dance Festival Ignite.

Ruby is a valued member of The Academy's Performance Team and as a soloist has participated in many eisteddfods and competitions around Victoria and has received many awards including 1st Prize at Royal South Street and a prize winner in the Hamilton Eisteddfod Intermediate Ballet Championship. She has also participated in the RAD Audrey Nichols and Kathleen Gorham Memorial Awards as-well as the Ballet Teacher’s Workshop and many masterclasses. 

In 2023 Ruby will be in Year 12 at Loreto College where she is currently studying VCE Dance and is working towards attaining Certificate III in Dance at The Academy of Classical 
Ballet. 

Ruby is excited to be part of the faculty at The Academy.
