Chelsea commenced her dance training at the early age of 4 in Ballarat, Victoria and has trained in Jazz, Contemporary, Tap and Classical Ballet - both Cecchetti and Royal Academy of Dance syllabi. 

Chelsea joined The Academy of Classical Ballet in 2015 under the guidance of Kellie Fishwick-Roscoe. Chelsea completed 4 years of The Academy’s Intensive Training Program and during her training at The Academy she has performed leading roles in Academy performances such as Swanhilda in Coppelia (2015) and Mythra in Giselle (2017). 

Chelsea has achieved Distinctions for Royal Academy of Dance Examinations and has successfully completed the Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced One and Advanced Two Vocational Graded Examinations as well as the Grade 8 Solo Performance Award. In 2015 Chelsea received a High Distinction for the Intermediate Foundation Vocational Examination and was a Finalist at the Kathleen Gorham Memorial Awards for such held at The Australian Ballet Centre. Chelsea’s achievements in the Cecchetti Ballet Syllabus include being awarded the Athol Willoughby Excellence Award when she received Honours (100%) for the Cecchetti Grade 6 Examination in 2015.

Chelsea has received great acclaim at local and regional eisteddfods and has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognition, including at Royal South Street. She has performed many solos in various genres and was the 2017 Winner of the prestigious Commonwealth Cup in Melbourne. In 2016 she travelled to Sydney to perform in the Sydney Eisteddfod where she was selected as a Finalist for the Robert and Elizabeth Albert Classical Scholarship. In 201 7 Chelsea presented at the Alana Haines Australasian Awards in New Zealand and in Adelaide at the Australian Institute of Classical Dance Awards. Her vast stage experience includes performing at the Royal Academy of Dance Showcase and she has been a valued member of Academy Troupe performances since 2015. Chelsea has attended many masterclasses with acclaimed industry professionals including at the Sydney Dance Company, Tanya Pearson Academy, The National Theatre, Grampians Region Master Classes and with artists from the Australian Ballet. 

Chelsea radiates a love for dance and is excited to be part of the faculty at The Academy and bring out that passion in her students.
